Kailyn Lowry is feeling confident again. The Teen Mom star recently shared new bikini photos from her Turks & Caicos trip, revealing a 50-pound weight loss. The 33-year-old looked radiant as she posed in a dark green two-piece. Her tattooed figure and glowing skin had fans cheering her on in the comments.
She captioned her photo, “33. What’s your dream destination?” The post quickly went viral. It was clear Kailyn was celebrating not just her birthday, but her transformation too.
She Took the Trip Without Her Seven Kids
Kailyn has seven children, so getting away for a break is rare. On this tropical escape, she was joined only by her fiancé, Elijah Scott. No kids in sight. Just sunshine, sand, and much-needed peace.

Her Surgery Journey Wasn’t Easy
Three months before the trip, Kailyn made a big decision. She had multiple surgeries to change her body. She had a breast reduction, tummy tuck, and Lipo 360. While the results look amazing, she’s been very honest about the emotional cost.
In December, she posted a video where she fought back tears. She admitted that the recovery hit her harder than expected. She was tired, sore, and struggling to feel like herself again.
“I’m finally able to shower without help,” she said, while doing her makeup. “I can walk around and stand mostly straight. But I still get really, really tired halfway through the day.”
She Regretted Missing Christmas
The timing of her surgery meant she had to skip Christmas with her kids. She traveled out of state for the procedure. Elijah couldn’t join her for most of the recovery. That decision weighed heavy on her.
“I was willing to go through all of this just to be skinny,” she admitted. “Even if it meant being alone on Christmas. That’s how bad I wanted it.”
She opened up about the pain of missing family time. Especially now, as a mother of a daughter, Valley. She explained how becoming a girl mom changed how she viewed beauty and self-worth.
“I don’t want my kids to grow up hating their bodies,” she said softly. “I want them to love who they are, not feel like they need surgery to be accepted.”
She Called It a Mental Struggle
Kailyn didn’t sugarcoat it. She talked about body dysmorphia. The obsession with changing her shape. The emotional ups and downs that came with it.
“I think a little nip and tuck is fine,” she said. “A nose job, a boob job, maybe. But what I did to be skinny… it’s mental illness. Truly. And I say that with all the respect in the world.”
